Volunteers needed for COVID-19 hotline serving Bastrop County

Like so many of you, each day we are learning more about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world and our community. As Bastrop County Judge Paul Pape announced at 4 p.m. on Monday, the Hotlines for Bastrop County Emergency Management Office will open on Tuesday, March 17.
They are activated to answer questions about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Volunteers are needed to assist with shifts for the next 7 days.
Monday - Friday shifts are:
1) 8 a.m. - noon
2) noon - 4 p.m.
3) 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday Shifts are:
1)8 a.m.- noon
Sunday shifts are:
1)9 a.m.- 1 pm.m
Volunteers will be assisting with fielding calls regarding:
1) Emergency Declaration Mandates
2) County Count Information (individuals affected)
3) School District information
4) COVID-19 Symptoms
5) Prevention tips
