Rural Broadband Coverage

How’s your internet?

One of the major problems in rural broadband is the lack of accurate connectivity data, which can negatively impact business and development decisions as well as grant opportunities.

Connected Nation Texas are asking for community feedback  in order to get better data on internet service . They have produced some preliminary maps on available coverage and speeds and are now seeking public input on the accuracy of this data. Take 5 minutes to check your speed and let them know whether or not the maps are correct!

This is a 2 step process:

1. First, find your home or business on the Preliminary maps. There is an interactive map at https://connectednation.org/texas/interactivemap or on you can download static maps/ PDFs for each County at https://connectednation.org/texas/mapping-analysis/ . Do the maps show what is actually available in your home or business? You can check your speed here – https://beta.speedtest.net/

2. Give feedback on the map by completing the survey at https://connectednation.org/texas/feedback.
