Hosted by the Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA serving Bastrop\, Lee\, and Fayette Counties\, this annual event celebrates National Child Abuse Prevention Month while bringing families together for a day of fun and connection. \nFamilies can enjoy a variety of activities including a kids’ play zone\, bounce houses\, games\, live music\, food trucks\, and interactive experiences with local organizations. SUMMARY:Chillin and Grilling with Dad
DESCRIPTION:This event is designed as a community-building opportunity specifically for fathers in Bastrop County. We aim to bring together individuals who have participated in our 24/7 Dad classes and those who attended the recent Fatherhood Summit in 2025. \nThis informal gathering will provide a relaxed setting for fathers to connect with one another\, fostering a stronger network of support within our community. \nWe will be providing a family-friendly atmosphere with activities for children\, games and water slides courtesy of the Bastrop County cares van. Dinner (hamburgers and hotdogs) will also be provided for the attending families. Additionally\, we will be arranging a brief presentation from a respected community member\, geared towards fathers and their families.\nThe goal of “Chillin’ and Grilling with Dad” is to strengthen the bonds between fathers\, encourage peer support\, and reinforce the positive impact of involved fatherhood. We believe this event will further cultivate the sense of community that our 24/7 Dad program and the Fatherhood Summit have begun to establish.
