Bastrop County Cares joined community partners at the Bastrop County Commissioners Court for the reading of a proclamation recognizing March as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Awareness Month.

This moment served as an opportunity to recognize the strength and resilience of individuals living with traumatic brain injuries while also highlighting the importance of prevention, education, and community support.

Traumatic brain injuries can impact individuals and families in many ways, affecting physical health, emotional well-being, and daily life. By raising awareness and working collaboratively with local organizations, Bastrop County Cares and its partners are committed to reducing the incidence of traumatic brain injuries across Bastrop County while ensuring those affected have access to the resources and support they need.

Community partnerships play a critical role in these efforts. Together, local organizations are helping expand education, strengthen prevention strategies, and increase access to services for residents across the county.

Bastrop County Cares would like to thank the following partners for standing together in support of TBI awareness:

  • Bastrop ISD
  • Bluebonnet Trails Community Services
  • Children’s Advocacy Center
  • Community Health Centers of South Central Texas
  • Family Crisis Center
