Mindful Self – Teen Program

Bastrop County Cares is partnering with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s B-WELL Youth Program to bring the Mindful Self – Teen Program to students at Del Valle High School.

This interactive program helps teens build strong minds and healthy habits through engaging activities that support mental wellness, self-awareness, and healthy coping skills.

During each 30-minute session, students will participate in activities designed to help them manage stress, strengthen positive thinking, and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life. The program also includes fun mindset games, journaling activities, and hands-on learning around healthy habits.

As part of the experience, each student will also take home two delicious recipes to encourage healthy choices beyond the classroom. The Mindful Self – Teen Program is designed to support teens in building confidence, resilience, and healthy habits that last a lifetime. This program is made possible through partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and support from the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.
