    Outcome Driven Program Development - Community Impact Workshop Series Join Bastrop County Cares for an engaging workshop focused on developing nonprofit programs that create measurable and meaningful community impact. Presented by Norma Mercado of Bastrop County Cares and Rene Gaitan of the University of Texas at Austin, this session will guide participants through strategies for designing programs with clear goals, measurable outcomes, and sustainable results. Attendees will gain insight into program planning, evaluation, and community-centered approaches that help organizations better serve their populations and demonstrate effectiveness. This workshop is ideal for nonprofit professionals, program coordinators, and community leaders seeking to strengthen program development practices. Lunch will be provided for attendees.     Join Bastrop County Cares for our Care-A-Van event designed to strengthen families, promote healthy child development, and increase access to local resources in rural Bastrop County. The Stony Point Park Care-A-Van takes place on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stony Point Park, 105 Stony Creek Drive Del Valle, Texas. Our Care-A-Van brings free recreational activities directly to neighborhoods that may lack access to parks and playgrounds, offering soccer, basketball, archery, tag, reading tents, and creative play opportunities that encourage positive parent-child interaction and family connection. While children enjoy safe, engaging activities, parents and caregivers can connect with our Parent Ambassadors and Community Health Workers to learn about local programs and supports, including public benefit enrollment (SNAP, WIC, Medicaid), early childhood services, workforce development programs, digital literacy opportunities, home visiting programs, and basic needs assistance. Next Level is a free, hands-on digital skills class designed to help participants feel more confident using Zoom for meetings, job opportunities, and everyday communication. This supportive learning environment gives participants the opportunity to build practical technology skills while learning at their own pace. In this class, participants will learn how to join Zoom meetings, use audio and video features, send chat messages, and navigate key tools commonly used for work, virtual appointments, school, and daily communication. Whether you are new to technology or looking to strengthen your digital skills, this class is designed to support you every step of the way.     Monthly Tiny Tales & Sensory Play is a fun, interactive program for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers that combines storytime with hands-on sensory play. Each month features a new book and theme, encouraging early literacy, curiosity, and developmental play in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Families can enjoy interactive sensory activities, engaging storytime through the Library Awareness Program (LAP), and connections to helpful community resources.
