Bastrop County Cares recently launched the first B-WELL pilot wellness workshop at Bluebonnet Trails, marking an important step in expanding employee-centered wellness initiatives. The session set the foundation for an ongoing commitment to supporting whole-person well-being in the workplace.
The B-WELL workshop provided participants with dedicated time and space to focus on wellness across the mind, body, and spirit. Through guided discussion and hands-on activities, participants explored the importance of nourishment, movement, and mindfulness, while also acknowledging the value of self-compassion and flexibility in maintaining well-being during demanding periods.
Participants engaged in preparing nutritious yogurt parfaits, learned about the role of hydration, detoxification, and live foods, and discussed how small, intentional lifestyle choices can contribute to long-term health. Each participant identified a personal wellness goal to focus on over the following two weeks, emphasizing achievable and sustainable steps toward improved well-being.
Supporting employee wellness is essential to building a resilient, engaged, and connected workforce. Bastrop County Cares is proud of the participants who took part in this inaugural workshop and demonstrated a commitment to prioritizing personal and collective well-being. Bastrop County Cares would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health for its continued partnership and commitment to advancing well-being initiatives that support individuals, organizations, and communities.
The B-WELL pilot represents the beginning of a broader wellness initiative, and Bastrop County Cares looks forward to continuing this work in partnership with organizations across the community.
