Pregnancy and childbirth can bring many questions, decisions, and new experiences. Having the right support along the way can help expecting mothers feel more informed, prepared, and confident.
Bastrop County Cares offers doula support to expecting mothers in Bastrop County, providing a supportive and empowering space throughout pregnancy and birth. A doula is a trained, non-medical professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Bastrop County Cares’ doulas are trained and certified through Latched Support in San Antonio and are prepared to walk alongside mothers as they prepare for birth.
Support Designed Around You
Doula services can include birth planning, birth positions and movement, comfort and coping techniques, emotional support, pregnancy wellness education, confidence-building activities, and connections to additional community resources. Through Birth Preparation Programs, expecting mothers can also gain practical tools and information to help them feel prepared for pregnancy, childbirth, and the transition into motherhood.
If you or someone you know is interested in Doula support contact Grace Georges at grace@bastropcares.org or contact our office at 512-409-3116.
