Bastrop County Cares is proud to celebrate Change Agent Community Doula YaLecia Love on the incredible milestone of supporting her 10th birth.
This achievement reflects not only her dedication to serving families but also the growing impact of community-based maternal health services in Bastrop County.
After completing her doula training through Bastrop County Cares’ partnership with Latched San Antonio, YaLecia has provided compassionate, one-on-one support to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey. As a community doula, she offers education, encouragement, and advocacy, helping families feel informed, supported, and confident during one of life’s most important experiences.
Each birth YaLecia has supported represents more than a number, it represents a family that received personalized care during a critical time. Community doulas play an important role in improving maternal health by helping families navigate pregnancy, connecting them with resources, and providing continuous emotional and physical support before, during, and after birth.
This milestone also highlights the value of partnerships that expand access to maternal health services. Bastrop County Cares is grateful to Methodist Healthcare Ministries for investing in programs that strengthen maternal health and increase access to care for families in our community. Their support makes it possible to train and equip community doulas like YaLecia, creating lasting benefits for mothers, babies, and families across Bastrop County.
