As The Toasted Yolk Cafe – Bastrop prepared to officially open its doors, the restaurant chose Bastrop County Cares as its charity partner for its pre-opening celebration.
The event gave community members an opportunity to get an early taste of the new restaurant while supporting a local cause. During the celebration, guests were treated to a complimentary entrée and encouraged to make a donation to Bastrop County Cares in place of paying for their meal. The community showed up in a big way, raising more than $1,200 to support our work across Bastrop County.

What made this event so meaningful was the generosity behind it. Each donation, no matter the amount, represented a community member choosing to invest in the place we all call home.
The funds raised will support Bastrop County Cares as we continue working alongside local organizations, businesses, and residents to connect people with resources and create opportunities that strengthen families, improve health and well-being, and support greater economic stability throughout Bastrop County.
