Bastrop County Cares is honored to be featured in The Texas Tribune for our work helping older adults build digital skills and stay connected through technology.
As highlighted in the article, our digital literacy program provides older adults with the knowledge and confidence to use smartphones, tablets, and laptops to access telehealth services, communicate with family and friends, and navigate everyday online tasks. Participants who complete the program may also receive a device, helping remove barriers to staying connected.
This work is made possible through our partnership with Methodist Healthcare Ministries and complements our ongoing efforts to expand broadband access and digital inclusion throughout Bastrop County. Together, these initiatives are helping ensure that technology is accessible to everyone, regardless of age.
