Lost Pines Toyota Expands Access to Breast Cancer Screenings- Join Us July 28th

Women under 40 in Central Texas to receive free breast cancer screening and diagnostics

WHAT:

Join us to increase awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and celebrate the generosity of Carlos Liriano and Lost Pines Toyota. Carlos Liriano, Owner of Lost Pines Toyota in Bastrop, has committed $5,000 to expand breast cancer screening and diagnostics for women under 40, and Toyota is matching the donation with $5,000. This funding covers a gap in access to care for women in Central Texas. 

Lost Pines Toyota will host the Bastrop Breast Health Coalition, a community initiative increasing access to screening for women in Bastrop County to detect cancer earlier and improve health outcomes. Dr. Julie Sprunt, breast surgeon, and Dr. Jess Wilson, a breast cancer survivor, and the Breast Cancer Resource Center will discuss the importance of early screening. A delicious lunch will be provided by 602 Brewing Company.

The Breast Health Coalition works to ensure uninsured and underinsured women receive breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment to increase early detection and treatment. The Coalition launched the Pinky Promise campaign to increase cancer screenings and awareness. The Coalition is supported by donations from the Bastrop community.
