Community Action- ESL, “GED” and Career Training classes

Community Action partners with Bastrop ISD, Smithville Workforce Training Center, and other faith-based and community-based organizations to provide classes to adults who want to improve their English language skills, acquire their Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (“GED”) or earn an industry-recognized credential such as EMT, Bookkeeping, HVAC, Microsoft Office, etc. Individuals must be 17 or older and not enrolled in high school to participate. (16 year-olds who are court ordered to attend “GED” classes may apply.) Accepts Volunteers
